The First Annual TIV Awards Recognize L.A. Dance Teachers

We love to see people being recognized for their contributions our L.A. dance community, and especially as dance teachers! Congratulations to all the TIV Awards nominees on their recognition by fellow dancers, peers, students, and more as valuable members of our community. Below we present the winners of the first annual TIV Awards, announced Monday, December 6, 2010, at Level 3 at Hollywood & Highland.

Successful choreographers and best friends Chonique Sneed and Lisette Bustamante developed Creating Opportunities to inspire and inform younger dancers and help prepare them to succeed in the dance industry on their own terms, by finding what sets them apart and creating their own opportunities. In twelve years of putting on the monthly Carnival in L.A., this team has provided support and exposure to many choreographers and dancers in our community. The anniversary show is coming up in January! Keep an eye out for the date and featured choreographers on the Choreographers Carnival web site.
