SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (ARMY/NAVY/AIR FORCE)
5. Legal Service.In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have the following:a. Bachelor of Law, LLB.b. Barrister at Law (BL) Certificate.c. Must have done Pupilage and 3 years Post Call working experience.

6. MEDICAL.

a. Medical Officer & Dental Surgeon.

In addition to the general eligibility,applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Must

have a permanent registration with theGhanaMedical & Dental Council. At least one (1)

year working experience as Medical Officer is mandatory.

b. Nursing Tutor.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must haveMPhil in Nursing or MSc in Nursing/Midwifery with postgraduate certificate in

Education. Must have registered with the Nurses & Midwives Council ofGhana. Must

have 1 – 3 years teaching experience in a Nursing Training College.

c. Specialised Nurses.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must havecertificate in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, ENT, Peri-operative,Emergency Care and Ophthalmic Nursing. 1 – 3 years working experience is required.Must have registered with the Nurses and Midwives council of Ghana.

d. Midwifery Officer.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have aBSc degree in Midwifery from an accredited institution of higher learning and havecompleted the mandatory rotation or national service. 1 – 3 years working experience isrequired. Must have registered with the Nurses & midwives Council of Ghana.

e. Biomedical Scientist.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must havea BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Science or BSc degree in Biochemistry plus one (1)year post-qualification internship training. 1 – 3 years working experience as aBiomedical Scientist in a reputable medical laboratory facility is required.

f. Pharmacist.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have Bachelorof Pharmacy degree (BPharm) from an accredited institution. Must have 1 – 3 years

working experience as a Pharmacist in a recognizedhealthfacility.

g. Radiographer.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BScdegree in Radiology or its equivalent plus one (1) year post-qualification internship

training. 1 – 3 years working experience as a Radiographer in a recognizedhealthfacility

is required.

h. Nursing Officer.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have aBSc/BA degree in Nursing/Emergency Care Nursing from an accredited institution ofhigher learning and must have completed the mandatory rotation or national service. 1 – 3years working experience is required. Must have registered with the Nurses & MidwivesCouncil of Ghana.

i. Dieticians.

Applicants must have BSc degree in Dietetics or its equivalent andmust have completed the mandatory national service. At least one (1) year workingexperience in a recognized health facility is required. Must be registered and in goodstanding with the Allied Health Professions Council.

j. Physiotherapists.

Applicants must have BSc degree in Physiotherapy or itsequivalent and must have completed the mandatory national service. At least one (1)year working experience as a Physiotherapist in a recognized health facility. Must beregistered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

k. Environmental Health Officers.

Applicants must have BScPublic Health(Environmental Health Option) plus one (1) year post qualification internship training.At least one (1) year working experience is required. Must be registered and in goodstanding with the Allied Health Professions Council.

l. Health Services Administrators.

Applicants must have s BSc degree inAdministration (Health Services option) and must have completed the mandatorynational service. At least one (1) year working experience as a Health ServicesAdministrator in a recognized health facility.

m. Health Informatics/Biostatistics Officers.

Applicants must have BSc degree inPublic Health (Informatics option)/Statistics and must have completed the mandatorynational service. At least one (1) year working experience as a Biostatistics Officer in arecognized health facility.

n. Health Insurance Officers.

Applicants must have BSc degree in Administration(Insurance Option) / Insurance with Actuarial Science and must have completed themandatory national service. At least one (1) year working experience as HealthInsurance Officer is required.

7. Catholic/Methodist/Presbyterian/Pentecost Chaplain Only.

In addition to the generaleligibility applicants must have any of the following:a. Must have done a minimum of four (4) years post ordination service in thepastoral field and must be a holder of a Licentiate or a Degree in Theology from arecognized Theological Seminary or College.b. Must be recommended by Head of Church who must be prepared to releasehim/her

to theGhana Armed Forces.

d. Imam. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have any of thefollowing:

(1) He must be a holder of Degree in Islamic Theology (Religion) from a

recognized Islamic Institute Local or Foreign.(2) He must have practiced as an Imam for four (4) years, recognized by anIslamic Religious Institution/Body.(3) He must be fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English.(4) He must be an A1 AlimPhedeen (Islamic Theologian).(5) He must be recommended by a recognized Islamic body in Ghana ie theoffice of the National Chief Imam, the Ghana Muslim Mission, the MuslimRepresentative Council, and the Supreme Council for Islamic affairs, IslamicResearch and the Ahmadiya Muslim Mission.

8. Band.

In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have a Degree in Music froma recognized University/Institution in the following:a. Staff – Reading.b. Conducting.c. Orchestrating.
