According to Children’s Theatre Director Rosemarie Callahan, the performing arts program fosters self-esteem and positive mental health. “Through their exposure to and training in theater arts, youngsters also learn the value of commitment and teamwork, while developing their creative resources, socialization, and communication skills.”

Workshops are offered in the fall, spring and summer, culminating in major stage productions for school classes and the public. There are often separate casts for each performance, enabling every child a chance on the stage.
