Coordinator, South Shore Program

TITLE:  Coordinator, South Shore SafeTY.Net Program – Full-Time

 REPORTS TO:  Robin Sklarin, Program Director


  1. MSW, LMSW, or LMHC Preferred or CASAC with BA and 5+ years experience
  2. Experience with substance abuse population required
  3. Experience in TIP model a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Engages substance abusing, traumatized, high-risk young adults
  2. Helps participants establish positive personal and feasible goals
  3. Establishes educational goals and opportunities for clients
  4. Engages family members to support the progress of their child
  5. Timely submission of progress notes and employment plans for consumers
  6. Compliance with all Society Policies and Procedures and New York State Mental Hygiene, HIPAA and other laws regarding patient care, clinical records, child abuse, etc.
  7. Assesses referrals received from community-based groups, and outpatient treatment providers
  8. Supervises the program’s Life Coach and Peer Advocate in the work of engaging these high-risk young adults in establishing positive and feasible personal goals
  9. Develops and monitors, with program’s Life Coach, community service and supported employment projects for the young adults
  10. Refers any young adult that may be in need of substance abuse treatment to services in the community for assessment and possible treatment
  11. Other duties as assigned
