CHILDREN’S THEATRE PERFORMED ‘GUYS & DOLLS’

Our Staten Island Children’s Theatre Association (SICTA) Performing Arts Company older group (9 to 18 years old) staged two productions of the much-loved Broadway show, “Guys and Dolls,” on Sunday. November 20 at South Richmond High School, Princes Bay.  The shows were a sell-out.

The SICTA’s younger group, budding thespians 5 to 9 years old, will perform “Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, Jr.” on Sunday, December 11, times tba.

SICTA is the Society’s self-sustaining program, celebrating its 54th season of bringing live theater to Staten Island children and families. “

“Young people who join our Musical/Drama Workshops and Performing Arts Company hone positive mental health skills including poise, self-confidence, a spirit of cooperation and teamwork, and improvement in their socialization and communications abilities,” noted Children’s Theatre Director Rosemarie Callahan. “They use these skills to perform Broadway-caliber shows several times a year.”
