“All-You-Can-Eat” Breakfast Benefits Our Kids

breakfastOur supporters brought their heartiest appetites to the Knights of Columbus Father Drumgoole Council’s “All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast” benefit for the Women’s Guild of the Staten Island Mental Health Society (SIMHS), on Sunday, November 13. The repast, at the Council Hall at included breakfast favorites bacon, eggs, pancakes and cereal, as well as a made-to-order menu of morning specialties for adventurous tastebuds.

The annual fundraiser, hosted by the Drumgoole Council Columbiettes, benefits children with special needs who receive a wide range of services from the SIMHS. Last year the Society provided mental health and related services to over 5,000 children at 21 sites throughout the Island.

“The caring and generosity of the Knights of Columbus have helped make it possible for the SIMHS to continue our programs without interruption, enabling more children and their families to receive services for emotional and developmental challenges that will help them achieve brighter futures,” said SIMHS President/CEO Fern Zagor.

Columbiettes President Dorothy Liquori, who is a member of the SIMHS Women‘s Guild, added, “We are grateful for the continuous and gracious support of the Drumgoole Council and friends who always show how much they care for the Island’s most vulnerable kids. They are truly our Knights in shining armor!”
